Involvement

Leaning into the industry that has done so much for me, whenever I can help

I don’t invest often—I have five kids!—but when I come across something that is both interesting and disruptive, I take part. My investment thesis is simple: betting on founders with disruptive ideas that want to make our industry a better place, for both advisors and their clients.

Board Involvement

Joining boards is something I take very seriously as members should have the energy, passion, and time to ensure they are meeting their duties to perform the mission of the board and its constituents. With that, my decision to join a board is not taken lightly, but when I can, giving back through these means are always a priority to me.

You never know - I might be interested

I’ll never close the door on making an investment, joining a non-profit board, or taking a seat on an advisory board. Let’s take the first step by getting to know each other and learning if I can be of service.

Advisory Boards

At one time, I was on a slew of advisory boards, but that took a back seat when I got more active with my investments. While my time is rare, I will always consider opportunities where I know I can add value. As a Vista Private Equity alumni, my strengths aren’t simply in Marketing – I can guide technology or advisory firms with GTM initiatives, product strategy, and in all areas of growth.

Stay In Touch

Maybe one day I’ll build up the energy to write a blog, shoot a vlog, or dabble in podcasting (again). If that ever happens and you love mediocrity, drop your email in the box below.

Have you read my latest article on RIA Reflections?

Who walks in next? A hippie from Colorado. He’s like, “Hey, man, do you mind if I join, too?” I’m thinking to myself, what is going on here? A Catholic priest, a born-again Baptist minister, a hippie from Colorado, and a businessman? It sounds like the start of a bad joke, but I move over, and he sits down next to me.

As above suggests, not once do I mention wealth management, financial advice, growth, or even marketing. Make sure to take a peak at my thoughts on the lost art of disagreement.
